We have created new Emily and Melissa Drink Beer videos! First up, Full Sail Brewing Company’s 2012 Old Boardhead Barleywine Ale.

One year ago, we had an idea of doing some sort of video series. Rather than simply recording ourselves drinking beer, we thought it would be fun to have some of my wine drinking friends review the beers for us. And thus the Emily and Melissa Drink Beer videos were born!

These videos did not turn out to be what I was expecting. For one, I was not expecting Emily and Melissa to show up to my house already drunk. I was also not expecting them to finish all five of the beers, considering that they were already drunk when they showed up. In the end, it was a lot of fun and we had a lot of people tell us that they enjoyed watching these videos, as it gave a different perspective to some of the more extreme flavors found in American craft beer.

Of those who enjoyed watching the videos, was Southern Wine and Spirits, one of Las Vegas’ distributors. In fact, they enjoyed them so much, that they offered to provide some additional beers for Emily and Melissa to review, if we decided to make more videos. Additionally, Trevor White of Silver State Productions offered to shoot the videos for us.  So we then went to work recreating the perfect storm that resulted in last year’s videos. What we got instead was a bit of a shitstorm, and it is very likely that Danny may not agree to ever film with Emily and Melissa again (more on that later). Needless to say, several bottles of wine were opened before, and during the filming, and it may have impacted the performances.
